FEMI ISHOLA creates amazing vibes w/ release “if it ain’t bout da guap”

FEMI ISHOLA is one of those artists who may be new to our radar, but his sound, aesthetic, and overall presence are already speaking for themselves. The record “if it ain’t da guap” is a strong example of exactly why he caught our attention. The record carries great replay value, backed by some genuinely impressive production that gives ISHOLA plenty of room to establish his identity as an artist. There’s an intentionality to what he’s building, and after recently seeing him perform at True Star Media’s From the Go Fest, it became even clearer that there’s much more here worth paying attention to. His live performance was exceptional and showed another dimension of what he can potentially bring to Chicago’s growing music ecosystem..

Our biggest critique is really a challenge, we want the project. Whether it’s a full fledged EP or a larger body of work, we want to hear what ISHOLA sounds like when he has enough space to fully develop his ideas, sound, and perspective across multiple records. For now, though, this is a strong introduction on our end..
