Ria Royale creates dreamy vibes w/ release “TIME DWELLS”

Ria Royale is definitely an up and coming artist with a lot of promise, dedication, and intentionality behind her sound. The record “TIME DWELLS” is another example of that potential coming into focus. The wordplay is strong, the song structure works, and overall, the record is incredibly easy on the ears. There’s a natural replay value here that makes you want to run it back..

Our biggest critique comes down to the mix and master, particularly with the vocals. The melodies and harmonies are already there, but giving them a cleaner, more polished mix would allow them to sit within the production even more effectively. The chorus especially has the potential to hit even harder with that additional attention. When you have a song this accessible, those smaller technical details can be the difference between a good song and one people genuinely keep on repeat. More than anything, though, we want to hear Ria Royale within the context of a full body of work. Whether that’s a conceptual EP or a full length album, she has the determination and creative focus to begin building something that tells us more about who she is as an artist beyond individual records. There’s definitely something here worth continuing to watch..
