Megalomania/UAES Album Review

Morgan Gold has been focused on putting out the best music possible and it’s something that’s impossible to ignore. Her collaboration work with leaders of the new Chicago wave such as Galaxy Francis already speaks volumes but to be honest Gold is really in their own lane. This new album is perfect example of her amazing artistry..

“Megalomania” is a fusion of amazing vocals, soul piercing word play, and just overall hards truths and experiences Gold has gone through and is sharing with the world..

Records like “Don’t Look Down”, “Take a Seat”, and “Completely Clueless” are a perfect example of Gold’s ability to structure melancholy ballads with incredible RnB and experimental sounds that are very telling of the life lessons we all have to go through ourselves..

While records like “Real Ones” featuring Gw4l Lil Kal, “Permanent Damage”, and “Martyr” captures the heartbreak lessons Gold shares with the listener with full vulnerability and honesty..

Our fav records to play in the office are “Megalomania”, ”Serotonin”, and “Identity Theft” featuring Heartbreak Homie..

Please take a listen and let us know what you think. Also make sure you grab tickets to Gold’s headlining show at Schubas on May 25th with Gio Genesis, 6ixteenth, and Th0rn..
