Jaas ain’t letting up the momentum w/ release “Wait For Me”

Jaas has been building undeniable momentum with every release, and more importantly, she’s helping redefine what modern R&B can sound and feel like, not just within Chicago’s music scene, but on a much broader scale. Through the recent events she’s curated and the community she continues to build around R&B artists, she’s proven that her contribution extends far beyond the music. She’s making sure the culture has spaces to thrive while also making her own voice impossible to ignore. This latest record “Wait For Me” is another reminder of exactly what she’s capable of. The production is rich, the mixing and mastering are exceptionally clean, and every element feels intentional. It’s a record that showcases both her artistry and her attention to detail, making it an easy one to revisit..

Our only critique is one we’ve had for a while now, we’re ready for the full project. Over the past several months, Jaas has been giving listeners glimpses into her world through singles and announcements, but it feels like the foundation has been laid for something much bigger. We’d love to hear a conceptual body of work that fully explores her vision, especially considering how passionately she’s championed the resurgence of R&B and the importance of returning to the genre’s roots. A complete project could further establish not only her artistic identity but also her role in shaping the future of Chicago R&B and beyond. Until then, this record is another strong addition to her growing catalog..

Take a listen and let us know what you think.
